Punk Canvas

Going through a canvas stage again... this one is huge and fun, cause I get to go off the wall literally want to do 3D. Have a wicked photo of Megan to add, and Pink (the rock singer)... will post when its done, hopefully later on today... any tips welcome if you happen to be passing through.. I have 3D music treble, glitter ribbon, loads of funky pics of pink, glitter words "hot stuff" and a quote from pink about education and how important it is (thats for her mum hehe). She is 11 on wednesday, and just started college, so time for the nagging for a canvas to stop, and time to get creative.

Class fell thru on Thurs not enough people, schools back in and first day too, so we can work on a fortnight.

"I will never be a stupid girl... and neither should you. Today, charting your own course isn't just more necessary than ever before... it's also much easier -- and much more fun. A good education is one of the greatest gifts you could ever give yourself" - Pink

Looking forward to seeing your creation. If you go with the sanding... I wet my photo first, then sand away areas I don't want, I also use bleach very quickly on some areas and then washed it off by rinsing under water, then rubb in paints or ink on sanded area, then leave to dry. You can use pastels too, if I use pastels I spray the finished dry altered photo with a clear varnish.

Oh sounds exciting! Cool tips from Lee!
If you got lots of stuff from pink you could collaged it to make the 'background' and slap paint over the edges. For added 3 d,I love letting things stick out over the sides/top/bottom of canvas. I underlay the part that sticks out with chipboard ( to give it more stability) but might leave the bit that's actually on the canvas as it is, if I want a flatter effect. Othertimes I put the whole thing on chipboard. Letting stuff dangle off the canvas on glitter ribbon might be cool too. Or use some wire with it.
Cool quote!
